Where the heavy duty rating earns its keep

Many liquid fertilizers and most concentrated treatment chemicals sit above 1.5 specific gravity, and a standard leg tank carrying them is outside its rating from the first fill. The 1.9 rating covers them with margin. The footprint and the legs are the same as the standard tank, so it rides on the same flatbed, trailer or skid; what changes is the weight on the axles, because the same 525 gallons can weigh close to twice what water does. Check the vehicle's payload rating against the liquid, not against water. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the end wall. Your valve, camlock or hose adapter threads straight into it. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top: wide enough to fill from a hose or a pump, to drop a float in, and to get a hand and a brush inside to clean. The vent lets air in as you draw down; do not seal it.
