On a flatbed, a nurse trailer or a skid

At 139 inches the tank takes most of a short flatbed and sits well inside a tandem axle trailer deck, and at 48 inches wide it leaves room beside it for a pump and a hose reel. Full of water it carries about 8550 lb of liquid on top of its own 450 lb, and more with fertilizer, so the trailer's axle ratings, the hitch and the tow vehicle, not the tank, set the limit; many single nurse trailers are built around exactly this size. Strap it through the leg recesses, never over the manway, and tension the straps so the tank cannot walk fore and aft when the liquid surges at a stop. On the ground it needs a flat, continuous surface under every leg. What goes in it

Water, liquid fertilizer and the farm and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles are the normal loads. Before anything else goes in, check the liquid in our chemical compatibility guide; the entries for urea solution, DEF, calcium chloride, phosphoric acid and sulfuric acid are the ones nurse tank buyers ask about most. A 1.9 rating means liquids up to 1.9 times the weight of water, which takes in most fertilizer blends. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 2 inch outlet low in the end wall, the size most farm valves, camlocks and transfer pumps are built around. Tell us what you are connecting and we will confirm the thread before the tank ships. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Manway. A 20 inch manway on top: wide enough to fill from a bulk hose, to drop a float or a suction line in, and to get an arm and a brush inside to clean between products.

Snyder makes the 1025 gallon size in several versions: the 1025 gallon horizontal leg tank, and two with securing hoops moulded in for strapping, the 1025 gallon leg tank with securing hoops and its sister part.
