Snyder Industries 1025 Gallon Plastic Horizontal Leg Tank with Securing Hoops

On a flatbed, a nurse trailer or a skid

At 139 inches long and 50 inches tall this is the low, long shape that rides a flatbed or a tandem axle nurse trailer with the load kept inside the deck width and the centre of gravity down. Full of water it carries about 8550 lb of liquid on top of its own 290 lb, and more with fertilizer, so the trailer's axle ratings, the hitch and the tow vehicle, not the tank, set the limit. Strap over the hoops, not over bare shell, and tension the straps so the tank cannot walk fore and aft when the liquid surges at a stop; a tank that shifts an inch at every stop finds the end of its mount by the end of the season. What goes in it

Water, liquid fertilizer and the farm and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles are the normal loads. A 1.9 rating means liquids up to 1.9 times the weight of water, which takes in most fertilizer blends. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 2 inch outlet low in the end wall, the size most farm valves, camlocks and transfer pumps are built around. Tell us what you are connecting and we will confirm the thread before the tank ships. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Lid. An 18 inch lid on top: wide enough to fill from a bulk hose, to drop a float or a suction line in, and to get an arm and a brush inside to clean between products. If you need to know whether it is threaded or hinged for a lock, ask us before you order.
