The Snyder Industries 1025 Gallon Horizontal Leg Tank is a polyethylene haul tank built for moving liquid down the road, not parking it. Molded in white with integral support legs and securing hoops, it carries 1,025 gallons on a 48 in. wide by 139 in. long footprint and stands 50 in. tall. It is rated to 1.9 specific gravity, meaning the wall is built to carry liquids up to 1.9 times the weight of water - which is what lets this tank move dense fertilizer, ag chemical, and treatment loads, not just water.

Will it handle your load?

Plan around real weights, not gallons. Full of plain water this tank holds about 8,548 lb, and its maximum rated contents weight is 16,242 lb at the 1.9 SG rating. That spread is the whole story of a leg tank: the wall can carry dense liquid, but your trailer, axles, and tie-downs have to carry the same number, so size the chassis to the contents. Chemical compatibility

The tank wall is polyethylene rated to 1.9 specific gravity. Before any chemical service, confirm the exact resin family for your chemical, because the resin family changes what the wall tolerates. Everything below comes from the OEM chemical-resistance chart and is concentration- and temperature-specific - match your real concentration and operating temperature, not just the chemical name. The wall material is only half the system: each chemical lists the fitting and gasket material it needs, and using EPDM where Viton or Aflas is required is the most common field mistake on chemical leg tanks.

Acids this tank can hold include acetic acid at 60% (PP or PVC fittings, EPDM gasket), hydrochloric acid at 37% (PVC, Viton), hydrofluoric acid at 48% and hydrofluosilicic acid at 26% (PP/PVC, Viton), phosphoric acid at 85% (PVC, Viton), and sulfuric acid at 98% (CPVC fittings, Viton gasket). Note the two exceptions that break the PVC/EPDM default: peracetic acid at 30% needs 316SS fittings and an Aflas gasket, and hydrogen peroxide at 50% takes PVC with Viton.

The metal-salt and coagulant family is well covered: aluminum sulfate 50%, ferric chloride 50%, ferric sulfate 60%, ferrous sulfate 20%, calcium chloride 40%, magnesium chloride 30%, and polyaluminum chloride (all PVC, EPDM), plus zinc orthophosphate (PP or 316SS, EPDM). It handles caustics and treatment chemistry too: potassium hydroxide saturated, potassium carbonate 50%, sodium carbonate 30%, sodium bisulfate, sodium bisulfite, sodium thiosulfate 40%, and sodium hypochlorite under 16.5% (PVC, Viton). For ag and fluid-handling fleets it covers DEF at 32.5% and urea solution at 50% - both of which want 316SS or PP wetted parts with EPDM, not PVC - plus ethylene glycol, propylene glycol (PP or 316SS, EPDM), and ozonated water up to 10 PPM.
