Low, wide, and drained from inside

Bulkheads and lid

• Outlet: 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting with an internal siphon tube; a flexible connector between the bulkhead and hard pipe, and the valve supported off the pad.
• Access: 20 inch threaded, vented manway.
• Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.

A siphon outlet needs the pump or the gravity line below the tank floor to stay primed, and a foot of drop is enough; if the line ever runs dry, refill the tank above the fitting and open the valve to re-prime. Tee a sight tube off the outlet to read the level, or fit a float gauge on the manway. Where it freezes, insulate or drain the outlet valve and the first length of pipe; the body takes ice from the top down without harm.

Day-to-day duty
