A low tank with a heavy wall
Two things set this tank apart: it is short and the wall is heavy. At 72 inches tall it fits under a low roof or inside a building with limited headroom, and the manway is easy to reach for filling and inspection without a tall ladder. The 86 inch circle is where the space goes, so clear a pad that wide plus working room and check the access route.
The 1.9 rating is for liquids up to 1.9 times the weight of water: brines, calcium chloride and magnesium chloride solutions, heavy liquid fertilizers and many water treatment chemicals. Confirm that polyethylene suits yours in our chemical compatibility guide and tell us the concentration, since strength changes both weight and compatibility. If the tank will only hold water, a lighter rated tank does the job; ask us.
Full at the rating, about 23,769 lb bears on the base. Openings, and what to confirm before you buy
- Manway. One 18 inch threaded vented manway on top. It is the fill point, the vent and the inspection opening, so keep the vent clear or a drawdown can pull a vacuum.
- Outlet. No outlet fitting is listed with this part number. Tell us the line size, the valve and whether a pump draws from it, and we will confirm with Snyder what the tank carries and what to add.
- Temperature. 120 F is the limit. A black wall in full sun warms the contents, and some solutions heat as they mix; check the working temperature.
