A compact tank for heavy liquids

Close to as wide as it is tall, this shell keeps 2500 gallons low and stable: the manway is within reach of a short ladder or a truck deck, and the tank fits under canopies and into buildings where a tall tank will not. Buy the 1.9 wall when the liquid is well above water in weight: road brine and salt solutions, calcium chloride, heavy liquid fertilizers, and the water treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles. Check any chemical and its concentration in the chemical compatibility guide, and give us a call for anything not listed. If the tank will hold water only, the lighter rated version of this shell, which we also list, will do.

Full at the rating, about 39,600 lb bears on the floor of the tank. Openings, and what to confirm

1. Manway. One 18 inch threaded vented manway on top for filling, venting and inspection. Keep the vent clear.
2. Outlet. No outlet or fitting is listed with this part number. Tell us the line size, valve and liquid, and we will confirm with Snyder what the tank comes with. Gaskets and valves are matched to the liquid, and a weep almost always starts at a fitting.
3. Temperature. 120 F is the limit for the wall. A dense liquid stored warm is the case to check first.

Shipping and receiving

The tank ships LTL at freight class 300 from Snyder's Chowchilla, California plant, listed at 96 by 96 by 98 inches and 620 lb. Have a lift and straps ready, take the weight under the base and never by the manway. Set the tank on the finished slab, fill it with water first and check the base and manway before the working liquid goes in. At the tailgate, check the bill of lading against 5090300N51 and walk the shell for damage.
