Snyder Industries 2500 Gallon Black Heavy Duty Vertical Storage Tank

Where it goes

At 90 inches across and 107 inches tall, this is a tank that fits where a pickup parks: under most roofs, through a wide bay door, on a pad seven and a half feet across. The manway comes to hand from a step. Full at the rating it puts up to 39,615 lb on the circle, so the slab is engineered per our concrete pad sizing guide, level and in full contact with the tank floor, and the empty tank is strapped before the first fill. Black polyethylene keeps light off the contents, slowing algae in stored water and protecting chemicals that light degrades. It runs warmer in the sun than white, so shade a heat sensitive liquid, and it hides the level, so a sender goes in with the tank.

What goes in it

Water, liquid fertilizer and the common chemicals polyethylene handles, up to 1.9 times the weight of water and no hotter than 120 F. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting at the base. A 2 inch outlet drains slower than the 3 inch on the bigger tanks, which is fine for a gravity feed or a small pump and worth a thought for a fast transfer. Flexible connector before hard pipe, valve supported off the pad, and tell us the liquid so we confirm the fitting suits it.
2. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway, 107 inches up. Fill through a dip tube and size the vent to the fill pump.

The tank ships LTL at freight class 400 from Snyder's plant in Marked Tree, Arkansas, one piece 90 by 90 by 107 inches at 450 lb. Have a forklift or a couple of people at the drop; it is light for its size. Check 8140000C34 against the bill of lading, look the wall over for transit damage, and fill with water the first time before anything else goes in.
