Openings as shipped
- Outlet: 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, at the base; tell us the liquid when ordering and the fitting is matched to it, with a flanged transition, a flexible connector to hard pipe, and the valve supported off the pad in the material the chemical calls for.
- Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, 98 inches up, reached from a step; fill by tote pump or truck through a dip tube, vent outside on acid and caustic service, and size the vent for the delivery pump.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
Eight feet of liquid above the outlet is a flooded suction to the last few inches; mount the pump below the outlet for a gravity prime, and fit a low-level float so it never pumps air. The manway stays closed so vapor stays in, the tank carries the name of the one chemical in it, and the wall above the liquid line gets a look with a light at every opening. Freeze protection goes on the valve and the first pipe run, not the tank; the body ices from the top down and shrugs it off.
