The Snyder Industries 3000 gallon ASTM XLPE Black Captor double wall tank, part number 5590000N46, is contained storage in black crosslinked linear polyethylene. Captor is Snyder's name for a tank moulded inside a second wall: the inner tank holds the liquid, the outer one holds a leak. It is 102 inches in diameter and 142 inches tall, weighs 1,400 lb empty, and has an 18 inch threaded vented manway on top. Snyder rates it for liquids up to 1.5 specific gravity with a service limit of 140 F (60 C). Where this version fits
This is the Captor for a lighter liquid on a warm site. The 1.5 rating covers liquids up to one and a half times the weight of water, which takes in water, most liquid fertilizers and many dilute treatment chemicals; anything heavier needs a higher rated tank, so tell us the specific gravity if you are unsure. The crosslinked resin raises the service limit to 140 F, and that matters on a black tank, which takes in heat from the sun that a white one would reflect. Black keeps light out of the contents, which stops algae in stored water and protects light-sensitive products. That combination suits a farm, a co-op or a municipal yard in a hot state that wants containment around a tank near a well, a drain or a creek, without pouring a bund. Pad, height and the real volume
The full 102 inch base needs a flat, continuous, level surface designed for the filled tank. At 142 inches tall, check the clear height on the route and plan how you reach the manway; a fixed fill line saves a climb every delivery.
