Where a narrow 3000 gallon tank goes

Seven and a half feet of floor and ten feet seven inches to the manway is the narrow way to hold 3000 gallons. It suits a plant room, a wash bay, a barn alley or a bermed pad beside a wall where a wider tank would block the aisle. Confirm the clear height under joists and sprinkler lines and leave space above the manway for a vent and a fill connection; a step platform reaches the opening. Outdoors, a tall slim tank catches wind, so anchor it to the slab while it is still empty. The 1.5 wall is for water, rainwater, liquid fertilizer and the common farm and treatment liquids polyethylene handles. For a brine, a concentrate or anything denser than 1.5 times water, use the heavy duty 1.9 rated version of this shell, which we also list. Full of water the tank puts 25,020 lb on a seven and a half foot circle, and because the floor bears on its whole footprint the slab has to be level and in full contact. Openings and what to confirm before you buy

1. Manway. 18 inch threaded vented manway on top: fill line with a dip tube, a level sender, and room for a hand and a brush. Size the vent to the delivery pump.
2. Outlet. This listing does not state an installed outlet. Tell us the drain size, material and direction and we will confirm with Snyder what the tank ships with.
3. Temperature. 140 F (60 C) service limit; ambient storage is well inside it.
