The 330 Gallon HDLPE Chemical Feed Station Tank (Snyder Industries, SKU SII-5750104CFWS30) arrives as a complete sulfuric acid dosing package: a 330-gallon high density linear polyethylene tank molded to a 1.9 specific gravity rating, seated on a stand over a matched containment basin. It stands 86" tall on a 62" x 76" footprint, carries an 18" lid, and empties to a 318 lb dry weight. It carries certifications 2285 and 2282. The 1.9 SG rating is why this station handles heavy chemistry that would flex or fail a standard water-grade tank, and the integrated basin plus stand mean the secondary containment and support are engineered together rather than field-improvised.

Will it work for your chemical?

Start with weight, because that is where feed stations get undersized. Filled with plain water the tank alone carries roughly 2,752 lb; at its 1.9 SG rating the maximum rated contents weight is about 5,229 lb. Confirm the pad or floor under the stand and basin can hold that loaded figure before you set it. Snyder rates this HDLPE body to a maximum service temperature of 120 F / 48 C, so keep the process fluid below that. The 18" lid gives access for mixers, level probes, and top fittings; if you are laying out that top plate, our guide on top fitting placement for polyethylene bulk storage and the level gauge selection guide will help you place vent, fill, and level instrumentation without cross-contamination. Use the Tank Sizing Calculator and Tank Sizing Guide to match dosing volume and refill cadence to the 330-gallon working capacity. Dimensions here are verified against the master catalog; see the technical drawing on this page for the tank, stand, and basin geometry.

Chemical compatibility

This tank is High Density Linear Polyethylene rated to 1.9 specific gravity, which is the top of Snyder's chemical service range — it already covers every chemical on this list, so there is no higher-SG tank to step up to. Named for sulfuric acid, it handles 98% Sulfuric Acid with CPVC fittings and Viton gaskets; note that sulfuric at 98% requires the full 1.9 SG rating, so this pairing sits exactly at the tank's ceiling and leaves no headroom, which makes the concentration and temperature verification below more important here than for the lighter chemistries. The same 1.9 SG body also fits Hydrochloric Acid (37%, PVC/Viton), Hydrofluoric Acid (48%, PP/PVC, Viton), Hydrofluosilicic Acid (26%, PP/PVC, Viton), Hydrogen Peroxide (50%, PVC/Viton), Phosphoric Acid (85%, PVC/Viton), Peracetic Acid (30%, 316SS fittings with an Aflas gasket), Ferric Chloride (50%, PVC/EPDM), Ferric Sulfate (60%, PVC/EPDM), Ethylene Glycol (100%, PVC/EPDM), Sodium Hypochlorite (under 16.5%, PVC/Viton), Potassium Carbonate (50%), Potassium Hydroxide (saturated), Sodium Thiosulfate (40%), Polyaluminum Chloride, Sodium Bisulfate, Sodium Bisulfite, Propylene Glycol (PP/316SS), and Zinc Orthophosphate (PP/316SS), on EPDM except where noted. Lighter-duty chemistries such as Acetic Acid (60%, required SG 1.5), Aluminum Sulfate (50%), Calcium Chloride (40%), Ferrous Sulfate (20%), Magnesium Chloride (30%), Sodium Carbonate (30%), and Ozonated Water (up to 10 PPM) are well within this tank's 1.9 rating, as are DEF (32.5%, 316SS fittings) and Urea Solution (50%) at required SG 1.35. These pairings come from the Snyder Industries OEM chemical resistance chart and are concentration- and temperature-specific: confirm your exact chemical, concentration, temperature, and fitting plus gasket materials before ordering. Full detail lives in each chemical's page and in our Chemical Compatibility Database — for this station's primary duty, see Sulfuric Acid, Hydrochloric Acid, Sodium Hypochlorite, and Phosphoric Acid.

The mistake to avoid

Match the fitting and gasket to the chemical, not to the tank. The HDLPE shell tolerates a wide list, but sulfuric acid at 98% demands CPVC fittings and Viton gaskets — drop in an EPDM gasket meant for a glycol or a sulfate and you will chase leaks within weeks. Watch the outliers that break the common PVC/EPDM default: Peracetic Acid needs an Aflas gasket on 316SS fittings, and DEF, Propylene Glycol, and Zinc Orthophosphate call for 316SS metal fittings rather than PVC. Because the chart is concentration- and temperature-specific, confirm your real operating concentration and temperature against the OEM chart rather than assuming the worst-case column applies. The tank, stand, and basin ship without fittings or gaskets installed — those are specified and quoted separately so the hardware matches your chemical. When you label the filled station, our tank labeling and signage compliance guide covers NFPA 704 and GHS placement, and the chemical sampling protocol guide covers drawing representative samples from the basin-mounted tank.
