On a truck, a trailer or the ground

At 56 inches long the tank leaves room behind it in a long bed for a pump, a reel or a toolbox, and 44 inches wide sits between most pickup wheel wells only if you measure first, so measure first. The 49 inch height is the number to check against a rack, a cover or a shop door. Full of water the tank and its load are well over a ton, so the vehicle's payload rating, not the tank, is the limit, and a dense fertilizer weighs more than water. A taller, shorter tank sloshes harder than a long low one; keep it full or near empty on the road where you can, strap through the leg recesses, never over the lid, and recheck the straps after the first miles. On the ground, every leg needs a flat, continuous surface under it. What goes in it

Water, liquid fertilizer and the common farm and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles are the normal loads. Before anything else goes in, check the liquid in our chemical compatibility guide; the entries for urea solution, DEF, calcium chloride, sodium hypochlorite and sulfuric acid are the ones leg tank buyers ask about most. Liquids heavier than 1.9 times water are outside the rating, and anything above 120 F is too hot for the wall. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. 1.25 inch, low in the end wall. Your valve or hose adapter connects there. It drains 335 gallons at a steady pace rather than a rush; for a fast transfer into a sprayer, tell us and we will point you to a bigger port. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Lid. 6 inches, on top. It takes a fill hose and a dipstick; it is not a manway you get an arm through, so plan on rinsing through the lid rather than scrubbing inside.
