Snyder's thickest 4,100 gallon wall
The Snyder 7360000N45 is a 4,100 gallon white high density linear polyethylene chemical tank, 102 inches in diameter and 130 inches tall, that weighs 1,100 pounds empty. The same mold is sold at 850 pounds; this version carries 250 more pounds of resin in the wall, with the 1.9 specific gravity rating that puts its maximum contents at 64,969 pounds against 34,194 for water. It is the tank for the heaviest liquid, the longest service and the site that will not want to touch the tank again for a very long time. A 2 inch outlet at the base and an 18 inch manway on top.
Two ways to buy. Add it to your cart above with freight quoted to your ZIP, or request a written quote for a job that needs paperwork.
Why pay for 250 pounds of resin
Wall thickness is what a rotationally molded tank has instead of a safety factor you can see. A thicker wall creeps less under a dense liquid, cracks later under sun and thermal cycling, and carries the side load of hard pipe at the outlet without oval-ing the fitting. On a tank that will hold concentrated caustic or ferric outdoors for twenty years, the extra resin is the cheapest insurance in the project. The list below is the resin's rated chemistry; the chemical compatibility database gives the rating for your liquid at its concentration. The tank sizing calculator sizes the volume to feed rate and delivery interval, and the tank sizing guide covers the reserve to carry between tankers.
The 102 x 130 inch tanks and the low profile alternatives
| Part | Gallons | Diameter x height | Empty weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7360000N45 (this tank) | 4,100 | 102 x 130 in | 1,100 lb |
| 7360000N43 | 4,100 | 102 x 130 in | 850 lb |
| 7360000C34 | 4,100 | 102 x 130 in | 850 lb |
| 7421100N40 (low profile) | 4,000 | 120 x 104 in | 810 lb |
| 7421100C34 (low profile) | 4,300 | 120 x 104 in | 850 lb |
The N43 and C34 are the standard-wall versions of this mold at 850 pounds, the same 1.9 rating in a lighter shell, and the right buy where the liquid is dense but the exposure is mild. The 7421100 tanks are the low room answer, 26 inches shorter on a 120 inch base. Nothing else in the family matches this tank's 1,100 pounds.

Openings, instruments, samples, labels
- Outlet: 2 inch, at the bottom of the sidewall; flanged transition, expansion joint, valve supported off the slab.
- Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, vented outside on caustic and acid service; fill through a dip tube to the floor.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
Choose the level sender for the chemical with the level gauge selection guide; at 130 inches, a hydrostatic sender at the outlet keeps operators off the ladder. Sample it as the bulk tank chemical sampling protocol describes, because a tall column of coagulant stratifies. Label it for the fire inspector and the workplace inspector at once, per the tank label and signage compliance guide. And size the containment before the tank, using the Snyder Captor 110 percent containment comparison to decide between a berm and a double wall.
Where you will find one
Bulk caustic, ferric, alum and acid at treatment plants that take full tanker loads; reagent storage on a process floor; and the outdoor chemical tank at a remote site where nobody wants to replace it. The pad is an engineered slab in full contact under the 102 inch floor, sized for 64,969 pounds and level enough that 130 inches of tank stands plumb.
Freight for a 4,100 gallon tank
Oversize freight (NMFC 156600) at 102 inches across and 130 inches long on the deck, on a flatbed at a lane rate; the freight cost estimator prices it for your ZIP, and the listed price is before freight. A forklift with long forks or a small crane sets 1,100 pounds on the slab. Strap it while empty, water-test in stages with a hold, then drain and dry before the first tanker.
