Nearly as wide as it is tall
At 120 by 116 inches this tank is close to square in profile, which gives it a low centre of gravity, a manway reachable from a short platform, and room under most shed roofs and canopies. Paired with the 1.9 rated wall, that makes it a sensible choice for dense liquids stored under cover or in a windy yard: brine, concentrated fertilizer, treatment chemicals, process solutions. What the shape asks for is floor. A 120 inch circle carries the full load on its moulded base, so the slab must be level and in full contact all the way to the edge; our concrete pad sizing guide covers the design. Build the berm around the full circle where the liquid is regulated, or use a double wall system and check the usable volume with the Captor double wall freeboard guide. A short tank has little head over its base fitting, so set the transfer pump below the outlet.

- The outlet. No bottom fitting is listed for this tank. Tell us the liquid and the pipe size and we will confirm the fitting before you order. Use a flexible connector to the hard pipe and support the first valve off the pad.
- The manway. 18 inch threaded and vented, 116 inches up. Keep the vent clear so it can breathe as fast as the pump fills and draws.
