Vent sizing on a tank a truck fills in minutes

• Vent: the listed 18 inch threaded, vented manway is the whole breathing path, and on a small tank it is the fitting most likely to be undersized in practice, because a delivery pump built for a bulk tank empties into 710 gallons very quickly. Air has to leave faster than liquid arrives. Size the vent to the pump that will actually deliver, tell the driver the tank is small, and run the vent outdoors on anything that fumes.
