Four walls in the 194 inch shell, and the 8,000 and 8,750 beside it

Four parts share this 120 by 194 inch shell and the useful split between them is empty weight. This tank, the N40 and the N46 are all listed at 2,400 pounds, while the N48 is listed at 3,100 pounds, and that difference is felt twice: once by the crane on install day and once by the carrier every time the tank moves. The reason to buy this row rather than the N48 is that 1.5 is the rating on this sheet and it is enough for process water, rinse water and the lighter solutions, so you are not paying to set and haul the heaviest wall in the shell for capacity the liquid never uses. The manway is 194 inches up, so plan the climb before the plumbing

• Access: an 18 inch threaded, vented manway at the top of 194 inches of shell. What reaches it is a fixed ladder off the ladder lugs the sheet lists, a platform with a rail, and a tie-off point for whoever opens the lid; a leaning ladder does not reach this tank and should not be tried.
• Outlet: the sheet lists the outlet as 24, with no diameter, material, thread or gasket beside it, so that figure is not a pipe size and we do not print it as one. The draw-off is specified at order against your liquid and the pipe you are tying into.
• Structure: ladder lugs and two flange lines are what the sheet lists.
• Service limit: 120 F / 48 C. Warranty: 3 year.

Sixteen feet of height changes every fitting decision on the tank. Upward, the fill and the vent are a long climb from grade, so the fill runs down a dip tube to the floor rather than free-falling the length of the shell, the vent is sized for the delivery pump because a truck can push air in faster than a small vent will pass it out, and the level is read off a sender at the ground instead of by someone standing on the lid. Downward, the same 194 inches is the strongest suction head anywhere in this family: a transfer pump mounted below the draw-off runs flooded deep into the tank and the last inches leave quickly, and the base fitting and first valve carry more pressure than they would on a squat shell, which is why the valve stands on its own support off the pad and the connector between fitting and hard pipe is flexible. Add a low-level float so the pump stops before it draws air. Keep the lid latched between deliveries, put the name of the one liquid on the wall, and give the band of wall above the working level a light at every opening, because that is where a wall shows its age first. Light-sensitive liquids bought by the tanker
