Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the side wall, with a 2 inch reducer in it. Connect 2 inch as supplied, or remove the reducer for the full 3 inch port; on a tank this size most buyers want the 3 inch. Support the valve and the first run of pipe so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Manway. A 22 inch threaded vented manway on top: fill point, vent and a wide enough opening for a pump drop, a float or a cleaning crew's gear.
