The pad and the site

Full of a 1.9 specific gravity liquid the tank and its load are close to eighty tons on a 141 inch circle, and all of it bears on the flat bottom, so the tank sits on an engineered concrete pad, flat, level and continuous, with no joint or drain under it. What goes in it

The dense liquids are why you buy the heavy duty tank: coagulants, acids, caustics and concentrated fertilizer solutions, as well as water. Check every product in our chemical compatibility guide before the first fill. Nothing hotter than 120 F should go in, and anything above 1.9 specific gravity is beyond this tank. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting low in the sidewall, supplied with a 2 inch reducer so a 2 inch valve or pump suction threads in without an adapter. Fit the valve before the first fill and support the valve and the first length of pipe on their own so the wall carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Manway. A 22 inch threaded vented manway on top for fill, vent, level sensor and inspection; large enough for a person to look inside with a light.
