The Norwesco 2500 gallon 15 degree cone bottom tank, part number 43065, is a white polyethylene tank 91 inches in diameter and 108 inches tall, weighing 401 lb empty. It is the shallow cone grown tall: the same 91 inch footprint as the smaller 15 degree tanks, with the height carrying the extra volume. The outlet steps up to a 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting at the point of the cone, which matters at this size because a 3 inch outlet empties 2500 gallons a great deal faster than a 2 inch one. On top is a 16 inch threaded vented manway. The rating is 1.5 specific gravity, 12.52 lb per gallon. Where it goes
Bulk fertilizer and brine storage, treatment chemical make-up at plant scale, and any job where a free flowing liquid is drawn off by gravity or a pump and the tank should empty between fills. A 15 degree cone is slow on thick liquids and does not clear settled solids the way a steeper cone does. Water, liquid fertilizer, brine and the common chemicals polyethylene handles, up to 1.5 times the weight of water and under 120 F. Openings, fittings and the stand
- Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting at the point of the cone. Size the valve and the pipe run to 3 inches to keep the drain speed you paid for. With a full tank above it, fit the valve before the tank is seated and support the first length of pipe on its own.
- Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway, reached from a platform or a ladder at 108 inches; plan the fill and the level sender so routine work does not need a climb.
- Stand. Norwesco's stand 64090 serves the 91 inch, 15 degree family. Its height sets what fits under the outlet; measure the valve or pump before you order.
- Floor. A 91 inch circle, flat, level and continuous, carrying the full weight of the tank and its contents at the stand feet. The pad design is your installer's call.
