Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the side wall, with a 2 inch reducer in it. Connect 2 inch as supplied, or remove the reducer for the full 3 inch port and a faster drain. Decide before you buy the valve, and support the valve and the first run of pipe so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top, 176 inches up: fill point, vent and inspection opening. Plan a fixed ladder or a platform.
