Norwesco 3250 Gallon Plastic Horizontal Elliptical Leg Tank in White

Where this tank goes

This is the standard rated, white version of the 3250 gallon leg body. Buy it for water or for liquids near the weight of water where you want to see the level at a glance: a water tank at a yard, a nurse tank at a blend site, a fertilizer tank on a flat deck or a skid. Liquids heavier than 1.5 times water need the heavy duty version of this body. On the ground, every leg needs a flat, continuous surface under it for the full 152 inch length. White stored water in sunlight will grow algae sooner than water in a black tank; if the tank sits outdoors full of water for months, consider the black version.

What goes in it

Water, liquid fertilizer and the farm and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles. Check the liquid in our chemical compatibility guide before the first fill; urea solution, DEF, calcium chloride, sodium hypochlorite and sulfuric acid are the entries leg tank buyers ask about most. On a 1.5 rated tank the weight of the liquid matters as much as its chemistry. Keep the contents under 120 F. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed, with a siphon tube that draws from the low point. A 3 inch valve or camlock threads straight in. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top for filling, a float and cleaning. Norwesco also gives a lid size of 22 inches for this tank; check the drawing before ordering a replacement lid.

Same body, other colours and ratings

The same tank in black, for stored water in the sun or light sensitive liquids: the 3250 gallon black leg tank. For liquids heavier than water, the 1.9 rated versions are the 3250 gallon blue heavy duty leg tank and the 3250 gallon black heavy duty leg tank. One size down is the 3135 gallon white leg tank; one size up is the 4035 gallon white leg tank.

The listed price is before freight; the freight cost estimator gives the lane cost to your ZIP. Have a forklift or a loader ready to unload it. At the tailgate, check the part number against 44597 on the bill of lading, look along all the legs for transit damage, and fill it with water the first time before it carries anything else.
