Buy this tank when the liquid is heavier than water. A 1.9 rating covers liquids up to 1.9 times the weight of water, which is where most dense liquid fertilizers and many water treatment chemicals sit. If your liquid is water or close to it, the standard rated 5000 gallon verticals hold the same volume for less; the heavy duty rating is what you are paying for here. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the side wall, with a 2 inch reducer so you can run a 3 inch or a 2 inch valve from day one. Support the valve and the first length of pipe on their own so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware, and allow for the wall to move slightly as the tank fills and empties.
2. Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top: wide enough to fill from a hose or a pump, drop a float or a level sensor in, and get a brush inside. At 152 inches it is a ladder job; plan the fill line so you do not climb for routine fills.
