The Snyder Industries 120 Gallon HDPE Stackable IBC Tote Tank is a non-caged, square-footprint intermediate bulk container molded from high density polyethylene and rated to a 1.4 specific gravity. It measures 42.5 inches square by 32.25 inches tall, and stacks for vertical storage when you need to reclaim floor space. That tight 42.5 x 42.5 footprint is what separates this tote tank from a loose drum setup: no wasted aisle around a round container, and a flat top deck a second IBC tote can sit on.

Will it work for your job

Filled with water this tote weighs 1,001 lb; at its full 1.4 SG rating it carries up to 1,401 lb of contents. Confirm your forklift capacity and rack rating against that loaded number before you move it. Stacking matters too: a fully loaded tote on top imposes up to 1,401 lb on the unit below, so qualify the bottom tote and the floor, not just the rack. The tank ships with the fittings shown on the technical drawing on this page: a 2-inch PE vacuum-relief vent assembly with EPDM seal, and a 6-inch HDLPE lid with a 2-inch NPS bung and EPDM gasket. The vacuum-relief vent is not optional hardware to blank off; pumping or draining a sealed HDPE tote fast enough can pull a vacuum and collapse the wall, and this vent breaks that vacuum during discharge. The 6-inch lid gives you a real fill-and-clean port, while the 2-inch NPS port takes your transfer line. Chemical compatibility

This is an HDLPE tank rated to 1.4 specific gravity. Within that rating it suits DEF at 32.5% concentration (run 316 stainless fittings with EPDM gaskets) and 50% urea solution (PP or PVC fittings, EPDM gaskets). Always match fittings and gaskets to the chemical, and verify your exact concentration and temperature against the OEM chemical-resistance chart, which is concentration- and temperature-specific. Heavier chemistries need a higher-SG tank

Many common process chemicals exceed what a 1.4 SG tote should hold and call for a tank rated to their density. At 1.5 SG: acetic acid, aluminum sulfate, calcium chloride, ferrous sulfate, magnesium chloride, sodium carbonate and ozonated water need at least a 1.5-rated tank. At 1.9 SG, step up to a 1.9-rated tank for sulfuric acid (CPVC body, Viton gasket), hydrochloric acid (PVC, Viton), sodium hypochlorite (PVC, Viton), hydrogen peroxide (Viton), phosphoric acid (Viton), ferric chloride, ferric sulfate, ethylene glycol, hydrofluoric acid (Viton), hydrofluosilicic acid (Viton), polyaluminum chloride, potassium carbonate, potassium hydroxide, propylene glycol, sodium bisulfate, sodium bisulfite, sodium thiosulfate, zinc orthophosphate and peracetic acid (316SS, Aflas). Note the gasket: EPDM does not survive the oxidizers and strong acids above, so sulfuric, hydrochloric, hypochlorite, peroxide and phosphoric acid need Viton, and peracetic acid needs Aflas. Don't put one of these in this tote; match the chemical to a tank rated for its density and the right gasket.
