An 18 inch manway on a 30 inch tank admits a fill hose, a float switch and a level sender at once, and a wash-down wand reaches every part of the floor at changeover, which the small lids on most 150 gallon tanks do not allow. The N42 is cross-linked polyethylene for hypochlorite and the other oxidizers, and the C26 is the general grade, both at this tank's weight in the same shell. The 5710100N45 is the other certified 150, on a base 4 inches wider with a 14 inch manway; the 1009500N45 is the certified 130, 10 inches shorter; and the 1008400C26 holds 175 gallons on a 29 inch base 7 inches taller.

Access and outlet

Bracket the tank to a wall or the skid frame so a snagged hose cannot pull it over, and mount the dosing pump below the outlet so it primes by gravity, with a union and a check valve in the suction line. A white 59 inch tank shows its level at a glance; a low-level float switch protects the pump. Close the manway to stop vapor loss, and keep a light-sensitive chemical out of direct sun; a 30 inch tank fits a standard spill pallet.
