Connections

The vent on a tank this size is sized for the fastest of the pump-out rate, the fill rate and a sun-heated headspace, not left at the manway default, and it carries a screen. Put a sender on it that reads at ground level, so the number never needs a ladder. Where it freezes, insulate or drain the outlet valve and the first length of pipe; with this much water in it the body freezes from the top, slowly, without harm.

Delivery day at the manway
