A 64 inch base under 124 inches is a column of liquid nearly twice as tall as it is wide, so the tank is strapped to a wall or anchored at two heights, and full it puts 19,390 pounds on that circle at the rating, which a slab in full contact carries. The N42 is cross-linked polyethylene with the 1.9 wall for oxidizers and dense chemicals, 5 pounds heavier; the N48 is another linear grade at this tank's weight, and the C26 is the general grade, 30 pounds heavier. What is fitted

• Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, 124 inches up, reached from a platform; fill by hose or truck down a dip tube, and vent to the outside if the liquid fumes.
• Outlet: the bulkhead fitting is chosen for the liquid at order time; a flexible transition to the pump suction and a valve supported off the floor.
• Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
• Listing: ASTM certification.

A white tank shows its level in daylight, and on a tank this tall a sender on the outlet or a sight tube saves the climb; a low-level switch protects the pump. Put the pump below the outlet, where it primes itself, close the manway against vapor loss, and keep a light-sensitive liquid out of direct sun. Insulate or drain the outlet valve and the first run of pipe wherever the ground freezes.

Applications
