2,500 gallons at 1.5 specific gravity, ASTM certified
The Snyder 5090000N43 is a white polyethylene vertical liquid storage tank, 90 inches across and 107 inches tall, holding 2,500 gallons at 450 pounds. Its wall is rated for a specific gravity of 1.5, or 31,275 pounds of contents against 20,850 for water, so it holds brine, fertilizer solution and coagulant as delivered as well as water, and it is sold with ASTM certification for jobs that need the paper. An 18 inch threaded, vented manway tops it, Snyder's 3 year warranty stands behind it, and it ships oversize.

The middle wall, certified, at half a tanker
A water-rated wall is for water and nothing heavier; the chemical-grade wall is for concentrated acid; a 1.5 wall is the middle, sized for brine, fertilizer solution and coagulant as delivered and every water application, with margin. D1998 is what the certification refers to, and it is met in the thickness of the wall; the HDPE tank wall thickness guide explains the sizing logic and why a tall wall is inspected in the headspace, and the freeboard sizing guide works out the usable volume once thermal expansion is accounted for. Full, it puts 31,275 pounds on a 90 inch circle at the rating, which a slab in full contact carries, and the empty tank is strapped against wind. The 2,500 gallon vertical tank buyers guide sets the makers' shapes at this volume side by side; the tank sizing calculator tells you whether 2,500 gallons covers the draw, and the tank sizing guide covers days of supply.
Grades on the 90 x 107 inch tank, and the sizes beside it

The N45 is the certified 1.9 wall, 110 pounds heavier, for ferric at strength and the heavy brines, and the N49 that same wall in black; the C34 is the general grade at this tank's weight. The 5090300N39 is the certified 1.35 wall on a 96 inch base 9 inches shorter. The 5050000C26 is the 2,000 gallon step down on this base, and the 8390000C26 lays 2,650 gallons down to 97 inches on a 102 inch base.

Ports
- Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, 107 inches up; filled through a dip tube from a hose or a truck, with the vent run outdoors when the liquid fumes.
- Outlet: the bulkhead fitting is chosen for the liquid at order time; a flexible connector between the bulkhead and the hard pipe, with the valve carried on its own support.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
- Listing: ASTM certification.
The white wall shows the level in daylight; a float switch for low level protects a pump. Put the pump below the outlet, where it primes itself, close the manway against vapor loss, and keep a light-sensitive liquid out of direct sun. Where it freezes, insulate or drain the outlet valve and the first length of pipe.
Receiving a delivery
A delivery truck pumps faster than a manway vent can breathe, so either the vent is sized to the unload rate or the fill gets its own top bulkhead and vent line. The fill pipe reaches the floor, so the liquid enters below the surface instead of free-falling and foaming. Somebody stands at the tank for the whole of the first delivery, checking the outlet fitting as the level rises, and from then on each load is logged by date and strength.
Where you will find one
Brine for a softener bank, fertilizer solution on a farm, coagulant as delivered at a small plant that needs the certification on file, well storage, and a fire reserve of the kind the fire-water reservoir design guide describes. One liquid per tank, labeled.
Shipping the tank
At 90 inches across and 107 inches long on the deck the 5090000N43 is oversize freight (NMFC 156600-01) on a flatbed at a lane rate; the freight cost estimator prices it for your ZIP, and the listed price is before freight. A forklift with long forks sets 450 pounds on the pad. Strap it, fill it to the manway once, hold it, check the outlet fitting, and keep the certification paperwork with the project file. Walk the base after the first hard rain; a pad that shifts shows it at the edge first.
