Part number 5130300C34 is a black polyethylene vertical storage tank holding 3,000 gallons on a 96 inch diameter, 111 inches tall and 600 lb empty. Snyder makes the black heavy duty 3,000 on more than one body; this is the 96 inch one, the middle proportion between the squat and the slim versions, and the lightest of them. The wall is rated for liquids up to 1.9 specific gravity. At 8.34 lb per gallon, 3,000 gallons of water weighs 25,020 lb, and at the full rating the contents can reach 47,538 lb. Where it goes
A 96 inch tank at 111 inches tall is an easy tank to place: it fits under most roofs, the manway comes to hand from a step or a short platform, and the footprint is eight feet across. Full at the rating it puts up to 47,538 lb on that circle, so the slab is engineered per our concrete pad sizing guide, level and in full contact with the tank floor, and the empty tank is strapped before the first fill. Black polyethylene keeps light off the contents, which slows algae in stored water and protects chemicals that light degrades; it runs warmer in the sun than white, so give a heat sensitive liquid shade, and it hides the level, so a sender goes in with the tank.
