What is fitted
- Outlet: 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting at the base; a flexible connector between the bulkhead and hard pipe, and the valve supported off the pad, because a 3 inch valve and pipe weigh more than the fitting should carry.
- Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, 127 inches up.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
A 3 inch outlet feeds a fire pump's suction or drains 3,000 gallons by gravity in minutes, so the valve is opened with the receiving line already connected.
