That chart is concentration and temperature specific, so confirm your exact chemical, concentration, temperature, and the fitting and gasket materials before committing. The 1.9 SG body is the reason it clears heavy chemistries a standard 1.5 SG container cannot: Sulfuric Acid at 98% (CPVC fittings, Viton gaskets), Hydrochloric Acid at 37% (PVC, Viton), and Ferric Chloride at 50% (PVC, EPDM) all require a 1.9 SG rating and would not be cleared on a lighter tote. The mistake to avoid
The FDA-approved marking covers material contact, not chemical service — do not read it as clearance for a specific chemical. On this tank the SG is rarely the limiter: DEF and Urea only need 1.35 SG and peracetic acid needs 1.9, so the 1.9 body has all three covered. What must be ordered right is the metal and elastomer. DEF and peracetic acid both call for 316SS fittings (peracetic also needs Aflas gaskets), so pairing either with PVC hardware is the failure mode to watch.
