Gravity to the pump, in the linear wall

Two decisions arrive at this part. The first is the duty: a water plant feeding coagulant or corrosion inhibitor on a continuous dose, a wastewater works metering polymer into a clarifier feed, a cooling tower loop on scale and biological control, a laundry on bulk detergent, a food plant on a clean-in-place chemical. Those services run a pump all day at a small, steady rate, and the pump is the part that fails first if it ever has to lift. The second is the wall, and this build answers it with linear polyethylene, the right call for those everyday chemicals. Eighty-six inches is what the answer looks like: the tank's low point sits above the pump, so the suction is flooded by the column of liquid rather than a priming trick; a drain reaches a drum under gravity; and there is room underneath to see a wet spot before somebody stands in it. What it costs is the height, which has to clear a doorway, a beam and a light fitting between the dock and the room, so measure that route before the truck is booked. The floor takes 2752 lb of water at full through the stand's bearing points, so it has to be flat, level and continuous across the whole 76 by 62 inch plan, and the stand should be anchored before the first fill.
