The Snyder 5780102N95703 is a 500 gallon double wall waste oil tank in yellow high density linear polyethylene, 53 inches across and 81 inches tall, weighing 280 pounds. A 500 gallon primary tank stands inside its own secondary shell, so a failure of the inner wall is caught, not spilled. The 405 gallon tank is 5 inches narrower and 8 inches shorter, for a bay with less floor. The 750 gallon tank goes the other way, a 73 inch base at 66 inches tall, which is the shape to choose when the tank goes under a mezzanine or a low lift. All three share the same lid, strainer and camlock arrangement, so the hauler's procedure is identical whichever you buy.

How it works
- Fill: 18 inch hinged, lockable manway with a strainer basket; drain pans and caddies empty straight in, and the basket catches filters, plugs and rags.
- Empty: 2 inch male camlock on an internal draw pipe; the hauler couples a hose and pumps from the bottom.
- Rating: 1.9 specific gravity, 7,923 pounds of contents at that density, so used oil, coolant or hydraulic fluid at any shop temperature is well inside the wall's margin.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C; let hot drain oil cool in the pan before it goes in.
Warm oil expands as it cools and the interstitial space has its own volume, so the usable capacity is a little less than the nominal 500 gallons; the Captor double wall freeboard sizing guide does the arithmetic.
