Built from high density linear polyethylene and carrying a 1.9 specific gravity rating, this yellow tank stands 81 inches tall on a 53 x 53 inch footprint, so it holds a full load of waste oil, used fluids, or the chemistries listed below on a compact pad. Filled with water this tank carries about 4,170 lb, and at its maximum rated contents it is engineered to 7,923 lb, which reflects the 1.9 SG rating and the secondary containment volume. Compatibility still depends on the OEM chemical-resistance chart, which is concentration- and temperature-specific, so verify your exact service conditions against it before filling. Within the rated chemistries, this tank handles Acetic Acid at 60%, Aluminum Sulfate at 50%, Calcium Chloride at 40%, DEF at 32.5%, Ethylene Glycol at 100%, Ferric Chloride at 50%, Ferric Sulfate at 60%, Ferrous Sulfate at 20%, Hydrochloric Acid at 37%, Hydrofluoric Acid at 48%, Hydrofluosilicic Acid at 26%, Hydrogen Peroxide at 50%, Magnesium Chloride at 30%, Peracetic Acid at 30%, Phosphoric Acid at 85%, Polyaluminum Chloride, Potassium Carbonate at 50%, Potassium Hydroxide (saturated), Propylene Glycol, Sodium Bisulfate, Sodium Bisulfite, Sodium Carbonate at 30%, Sodium Hypochlorite below 16.5%, Sodium Thiosulfate at 40%, Sulfuric Acid at 98%, Urea Solution at 50%, Zinc Orthophosphate, and Ozonated Water up to 10 PPM. Match wetted parts to the chemical: most run on PVC fittings with EPDM gaskets, but the edge cases matter. Sulfuric Acid at 98% wants CPVC with a Viton gasket; Hydrochloric Acid, Phosphoric Acid, Hydrogen Peroxide, and Sodium Hypochlorite run PVC with Viton; Hydrofluoric and Hydrofluosilicic Acid need PP/PVC with Viton; DEF and Zinc Orthophosphate need 316 stainless wetted parts; and Peracetic Acid specifically calls for 316 stainless with an Aflas gasket, not EPDM or Viton. The mistake to avoid

The single biggest error on a tank like this is treating the 1.9 SG rating as a license to skip the chart. The rating means the wall is built for heavier-than-water liquids, but it does not override the resin's chemical limits or the gasket and fitting requirements above, miss the Aflas gasket on peracetic acid or the CPVC on 98% sulfuric and you have a leak path the tank wall never caused. Confirm your concentration and temperature against the OEM chart, spec your wetted parts accordingly, and if you are using this for hazardous waste or oil collection, size your freeboard and containment per regulation.
