Some buyers count gallons and some count pounds. A 2 inch outlet under 53 inches of tank

• The pump path: the sheet lists a 2 inch outlet, which is a real transfer size, and the layout that makes use of it is the pump below the outlet with a short falling hose into the suction and the first bend clear of the fitting. Fifty-three inches of body is the least standing height of the 525s, so nothing is gained by lifting the pump and a good deal is lost.
• Prime on a low body: use a self priming pump or a foot valve as a matter of course here, and fit a run-dry stop. On the lowest tank at this capacity the level reaches the bottom of the suction earlier in the load than an operator expects.
• Gravity drain: the outlet is the low point of the body, so a full-flow shutoff at the fitting and a fall on the deck toward that end will empty the tank without the pump when there is time to let it run. Keep a second valve downstream so hoses change without draining.
• Filling and cleaning: a 10 inch lid, the smaller of the two lid sizes in this capacity group. It fills from a hose without trouble and it is a tight opening for washing out or for an inspection arm, so plan product changes around it.
• Service limit: 120 F / 48 C, which is the only limit this sheet publishes.

Light tanks get treated casually and that is where they get hurt. The first joint off the outlet is a flexible connector, the valve is carried on its own bracket off the deck, and nothing rigid is clamped between the tank and the vehicle, because at 124 pounds empty this body will move against a hard pipe long before the pipe moves.
