The full-density wall at a tanker and a reserve

A 1.9 specific gravity wall is sized for a liquid nearly twice as dense as water, and 1,450 pounds of resin is the heaviest wall on this base. The N40 and N42 are cross-linked polyethylene for oxidizers and the N46 is another linear grade, all lighter in the wall. The 7000400C26 and 5250000N40 lay 5,400 and 5,600 gallons down on a 142 inch base at 91 and 102 inches, for a site with floor and no height.

Pick a level sender rated for the chemical and bring its reading to ground level, so the number never needs a climb; keep the manway shut against vapor loss and shade a light-sensitive chemical. Put a regulated chemical in a single wall tank and the berm around it has to hold all of it. In a freezing climate insulate or drain the outlet valve and the first run of pipe.

Unloading without a spill

The truck's pump outruns the manway vent, so size the vent for the unload rate or give the fill its own top bulkhead and vent line. Run the fill pipe to the floor so caustic or coagulant does not free-fall and foam. Diluting a dense chemical makes heat, so a batch is built water first and chemical second, never the reverse. The first tanker into a new tank is a supervised job, slab edge and outlet fitting checked as it fills, and from then on each load is logged by date and strength.
