The full-density wall in the widest shell

The shape is the low one: 88,738 pounds on a 142 inch circle sits close to the ground and needs the least strapping in the line, but the widest floor spans any hollow in a gravel base and cracks there when full, so the pad is an engineered slab in full contact under the whole circle, per the concrete pad sizing guide, inside a berm sized to the tank. The N43 is the other certified 1.9 tank in this shell at this tank's weight; the N42 is the heavy cross-linked tank for the densest oxidizers, and the N46 and N40 the lighter linear and cross-linked grades, 200 pounds less resin. What is fitted

• Outlet: name the chemical when ordering so the bulkhead fitting matches it; a flanged transition, an expansion joint, and a valve supported off the slab.

Read the level from the ground through a sender chosen for the chemical, not by climbing; leave the manway closed between fills to hold the vapor, and put the tank in shade if the chemical is light-sensitive. A berm around a twelve foot tank takes floor, so plan it with the pad. Insulate or drain the outlet valve and the first run of pipe wherever the ground freezes.

When the truck arrives

A tanker's pump moves liquid faster than a manway vent can pass air, so either the vent is sized to the unload rate or the fill comes in through its own top bulkhead with a separate vent line. Run the fill pipe to the floor so caustic or coagulant does not free-fall and foam. Diluting a dense chemical makes heat, so a batch is built water first and chemical second, never the reverse. The first load into a new tank gets watched end to end, eyes on the slab edge and the outlet fitting while the level comes up, and from then on each load is logged by date and strength.

Applications

A crane or a forklift with long forks sets 1,350 pounds on the slab, and the slab is checked flat before the tank lands. Fill it with water to the manway and hold it, drain and dry, and only then connect the chemical; the certification lives in the project file. Mark the vent and the outlet on the outside of the shell so nobody caps the wrong one in the dark.
