Where it goes
This is a bulk storage tank for a pad: liquid fertilizer at a dealer or a farm, water for fire protection or irrigation, process and treatment chemicals at a plant. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting low in the side wall, with a 2 inch reducer in the box. Run 3 inch if you are feeding a pump or filling sprayers quickly; drop to 2 inch with the reducer where the rest of the plumbing is already 2 inch. Support the valve and the first length of pipe on their own so the wall carries liquid, not hardware.
- Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top. It is the fill point, the vent and the inspection opening; keep it on and threaded down so the tank breathes through the vent rather than the opening.
- Extra fittings. If you need a second outlet, a level gauge port or a fill fitting on the side, tell us before the order ships and we will put the fittings on the same order.
