The Snyder 5300700N43 is a white polyethylene vertical liquid storage tank, 142 inches across and 122 inches tall, holding 7,000 gallons at 1,400 pounds. Its wall is rated for a specific gravity of 1.5, or 87,570 pounds of contents against 58,380 for water, so it holds brine, fertilizer solution and coagulant as delivered as well as water, it is sold with ASTM certification for jobs that need the paper, and the twelve foot base puts a tanker load and a working reserve under a ten foot roof with the manway reached from a short platform. Seven thousand gallons in the widest shell, in the middle wall
A water-rated wall is for water and nothing heavier; the heaviest wall is for concentrated acid; a 1.5 wall is the middle, sized for brine, fertilizer solution and coagulant as delivered and every water application, with margin. The shape is the low one: 87,570 pounds on a 142 inch circle sits close to the ground and needs the least strapping in the line, but the widest floor spans any hollow in a gravel base and cracks there when full, so the pad is an engineered slab in full contact under the whole circle, per the concrete pad sizing guide. The N45 is the certified 1.9 wall, 500 pounds heavier, for ferric at strength and the heavy brines; the N40 and N42 are cross-linked polyethylene for oxidizers, the N42 the heavy wall, and the N46 another linear grade at this weight. The 7140000C26 holds 6,900 gallons on a 120 inch base at 153 inches for a site with less floor and more height, and the 7440000N40 stands 7,500 gallons of cross-linked resin on a 102 inch base at 234 inches.

Bulkheads and lid
- Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, 122 inches up; filled by truck through a dip tube, vented outside on anything that fumes, and size the vent for a tanker's unload rate.

The white wall shows the level in daylight; fit a sender read at ground level so nobody climbs for a number, and a low-level switch protects the pump. Mount the pump below the outlet so it primes by gravity, keep the manway closed against vapor loss, and keep the tank out of direct sun where the liquid is light-sensitive. Where it freezes, insulate or drain the outlet valve and the first length of pipe; the body takes ice from the top down without harm.
The tanker unload
A tanker's pump moves liquid faster than a manway vent can pass air, so either the vent is sized to the unload rate or the fill comes in through its own top bulkhead with a separate vent line. A fill pipe to the floor keeps the liquid from free-falling and foaming. Nobody walks away during the first fill: the slab edge and the outlet fitting are checked as the level climbs, and the log takes the date and strength of every load that follows.
Day-to-day duty
