Paying for the rating you use

Most storage chemistry is not heavier than 1.5 times water, so most buyers in this size are choosing between a rating they will work and a rating they will admire. Water plants buy this wall for hypochlorite and other treatment chemicals that arrive by the tanker; manufacturers buy it to replace a wall of totes with one vessel in a tall bay; co-ops buy it for a fertilizer solution drawn down over weeks. A rotationally moulded floor bears on its own floor and nothing else, so 79,230 lb of water lands on a 120 inch circle: engineer the pad to our concrete pad sizing guide, level and in full contact, and do not reuse a slab poured for a smaller vessel without checking it. Measure the roof: 215 inches of shell plus working room above the manway. Band the empty shell the day it lands. Openings, and what to confirm before you buy

1. Vent and fill. The 18 inch threaded vented manway, 215 inches up, breathes at the rate the delivery pump fills, so size the vent to that pump. Fill through a dip tube to the floor; a stream falling the height of the shell foams the headspace and coats the upper wall, which our vapor headspace wall thickness article works through.
2. Access. A permanent platform with a rail and gate, and a hard-piped fill landed at the manway.
3. Outlet. This listing carries no outlet size. Tell us the liquid and the pipe you are tying into when you order and we confirm what Snyder fits to this shell before it ships. The drawing is linked under Technical Drawing on this page.
4. Base plumbing. First valve on its own support off the pad, flexible connector to hard pipe, pump below the outlet with a low-level float.

The tank ships LTL at freight class 300 from Snyder's plant in Lincoln, NE, at its own 120 by 120 by 215 inch dimensions, an oversize load; the estimator will tell you whether your lane needs a phone call. Set it with straps around the body, never a sling through the manway, onto a cured pad, and band it before the crane is released. Check the part number 7450000N40 against the bill of lading before you sign.
