The Snyder 1831000N43 is a white polyethylene vertical liquid storage tank, 60 inches across and 89 inches tall, holding 1,000 gallons at 260 pounds. Its wall is rated for a specific gravity of 1.5, or 12,510 pounds of contents against 8,340 for water, so it holds brine, fertilizer solution and coagulant as delivered as well as water, and it is sold with ASTM certification for jobs that need the paper. The middle wall, certified
A water-rated wall is for water and nothing heavier; the chemical-grade wall is for concentrated acid; a 1.5 wall is the middle, sized for brine, fertilizer solution and coagulant as delivered and every water application, with margin. The N45 is the 1.9 chemical wall in this same shell, 40 pounds heavier, and the N42 is cross-linked polyethylene for oxidizers; the C34 is the general grade at this tank's weight. What is fitted
- Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway; filled by hose or truck through a dip tube, vented outside on anything that fumes.
- Outlet: the bulkhead fitting is chosen for the liquid at order time; a flexible transition to the pump suction and a valve supported off the floor.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.

A white 89 inch tank shows its level in daylight; a low-level switch protects the pump. Mount the pump below the outlet so it primes by gravity, keep the manway closed against vapor loss, and keep the tank out of direct sun where the liquid is light-sensitive. In a freezing climate insulate or drain the outlet valve and the first run of pipe.
Applications
