Why the heavy wall, and why this shape

Two decisions pick this tank. The first is the liquid: a brine, a concentrate or a dense process solution needs a wall rated well above water, and 1.9 specific gravity covers most of them. Plain water and liquid fertilizer do not need it, and the standard 1.5 rated version of this same shell is the lighter honest buy for those. The second decision is the room. Ninety inches across is seven and a half feet of slab, and 127 inches puts the manway at ten feet seven inches. That fits a plant room or a bermed pad where floor is scarce and a step platform can reach the opening; confirm the clear height with space above the manway for a vent and a fill connection.

At the full rating the slab carries up to 47,538 lb on a seven and a half foot circle, a higher bearing pressure than a wider tank of the same volume. Openings and what to confirm before you buy

1. Manway. 18 inch threaded vented manway on top. Land the fill line here with a dip tube to the floor, and size the vent to the delivery pump: a blocked vent on a dense liquid is the failure to design out.
2. Outlet. This listing does not state an installed outlet fitting. Tell us the drain size, material and direction and we will confirm with Snyder what ships on the tank.
3. Temperature. 140 F (60 C) is the service limit. Hot process streams need a conversation first.
