Connections

The white wall shows the level in daylight; a float switch for low level protects a pump, and the low shape keeps the suction flooded to the last few inches. Mount the pump below the outlet so it primes by gravity, keep the manway closed against vapor loss, and keep the tank out of direct sun where the liquid is light-sensitive. Delivery day at the manway
Unloading a tanker pushes air out faster than a stock manway vent can pass it; size the vent for that rate, or fill through a dedicated top bulkhead vented separately. A fill pipe to the floor keeps the liquid from free-falling and foaming.
