5,000 gallons of green water storage under ten feet
The Snyder 32834 is a green high density linear polyethylene water tank that holds 5,000 gallons in a shell 119 inches across and 116 inches tall, weighing 870 pounds. It is the ten foot base version of the 5,000: lower than the 102 inch tanks by more than three feet, with the manway reached from a short ladder, and the green wall keeps light out of the water so it stays clear of algae. A 1-1/2 inch inlet, a 2 inch outlet, a 26 inch manway wide enough to enter for cleaning, and a rating of 1.0 specific gravity for water and liquids no heavier.

Twenty tons of water on a ten foot circle
Full, the 32834 puts 41,700 pounds on a 119 inch circle, and a rotationally molded floor bears on the whole pad, so the pad is what matters: a compacted, screeded gravel base or a slab in full contact, per the concrete pad sizing guide. The first fill is the acceptance test; the hydrostatic test methodology guide covers the fill discipline, the settlement check and the hold time. The tank sizing calculator tells you whether 5,000 gallons covers the draw, and the tank sizing guide covers days of supply.
Snyder's 4,400 to 6,000 gallon verticals
| Part | Gallons | Diameter x height | Empty weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| 32834 (this tank, green) | 5,000 | 119 x 116 in | 870 lb |
| 1002100C126 | 5,000 | 102 x 154 in | 1,050 lb |
| 8210000C126 | 5,000 | 102 x 154 in | 1,150 lb |
| 1002100N30 (sulfuric grade) | 5,000 | 102 x 154 in | 1,050 lb |
| 5210000N30 (tall, sulfuric grade) | 4,400 | 90 x 182 in | 1,450 lb |
| 7000000C137 | 6,000 | 120 x 132 in | 1,155 lb |
The 1002100 and 8210000 tanks stand the same 5,000 gallons on a 102 inch base at 154 inches, 38 inches taller, for a site with height and no floor, the N30 in the sulfuric acid resin for chemical. The 5210000N30 stands 4,400 gallons on a 90 inch base, and the 7000000C137 holds 6,000 gallons on a base an inch wider than this one at 132 inches.

Ports and manway
- Inlet: 1-1/2 inch.
- Outlet: 2 inch, at the base; a flexible connector between the bulkhead and hard pipe, and the valve supported off the pad. For a fire reserve a larger outlet is specified at order.
- Access: 26 inch manway, wide enough to enter for cleaning.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
A 2 inch outlet feeds a pressure pump or a fire pump's suction without starving it, and the low shape keeps the suction flooded to the last few inches. Tee a sight tube off the outlet to read the level through the green wall, or fit a float gauge on the manway. If winters freeze, wrap or drain the outlet valve and the first pipe run; the body takes ice from the top down without harm.
Put to use
Well storage for a house, a barn and a garden, a rain cistern under a large roof, stock water on a pasture, and a fire reserve of the kind the fire-water reservoir design guide describes, where the low center of gravity counts. Several of them are the storage stage of a reuse system for roof water and condensate, per the industrial water reuse tank topology article.
How it ships
At 119 inches across the 32834 is oversize freight (NMFC 156600) on a flatbed at a lane rate; the freight cost estimator prices the move to your ZIP, and the price on this page is before freight. A forklift with long forks or a small crane sets 870 pounds on the pad. Fill it to the manway once, check both fittings, and keep a screen on the inlet and the vent. A strap that is checked once a season is a strap that holds; put it on the same calendar as the gutters.
