The Snyder Industries 5500 Gallon HDPE Vertical Liquid Storage Tank is a workhorse-scale polyethylene vertical storage tank built for bulk water and high-density liquid duty. It stands 221 inches tall on a square 90 x 90 inch footprint, holds 5,500 gallons, and carries an ASTM-rated polyethylene wall with a 1.9 specific gravity rating - heavy enough to hold contents far denser than water. Will it work for your install?

This is a single-color White HDPE vertical tank with a 90 inch diameter and a 221 inch overall height. The 1.9 specific gravity rating is the number that matters most here, and it is easy to under-buy on: it tells you the wall is engineered to safely carry liquids up to 1.9 times the density of water, so the same tank that stores 5,500 gallons of water also handles much denser solutions - concentrated brines and heavier ag or industrial liquids - that a standard 1.0 or 1.5 SG vertical of the same gallonage is simply not rated to hold. Buying the right SG up front means you do not have to step up a size or rebuy later for density headroom. Fittings, access, and clearance

Per the technical drawing on this page, the tank is configured with a manway with 15 inch access, an 18 inch PE threaded/vented fitting, a flange, a fitting flat at 272.5 degrees, and a S.U.M.O./fitting provision. The 15 inch manway gives you interior reach for cleaning and inspection - plan roughly 19-plus feet of overhead clearance above the pad for the 221-inch tank plus manway access and any fill plumbing on top. The fitting flat at 272.5 degrees establishes a true mounting plane on the otherwise round body for adding bulkhead fittings or instrumentation.
