The white wall shows the level in daylight; a float switch at low level shuts the pump off before it runs dry. Mount the pump below the outlet so it primes by gravity, keep the lid closed against vapor loss, and keep the tank out of direct sun where the liquid is light-sensitive. If winters freeze, wrap or drain the outlet valve and the first pipe run; the body takes ice from the top down without harm.
