Top and bottom connections

Choose the level sender for the chemical and read it at ground level; leave the manway closed between fills to hold the vapor, and put the tank in shade if the chemical is light-sensitive. First load in

A delivery truck's pump can push air out faster than a stock vent can pass it, so the vent is sized for the unload rate or the fill goes through a dedicated top bulkhead with its own vent line. Run the fill pipe to the floor so caustic or coagulant does not free-fall and foam. Diluting a dense chemical makes heat, so a batch is built water first and chemical second, never the reverse. The first load into a new tank gets watched end to end, eyes on the slab edge and the outlet fitting while the level comes up, and from then on each load is logged by date and strength.
