Five totes through a wide door, certified

Twelve hundred gallons is five totes with room for expansion and freeboard, and a 60 inch base under 109 inches puts them in a corner of a plant room a bigger tank could not enter. A water-rated wall is for water and nothing heavier; the heaviest wall is for concentrated acid; a 1.5 wall is the middle, sized for brine, fertilizer solution and coagulant as delivered and every water application, with margin. The N42 is the heavy cross-linked tank at this tank's weight for the densest oxidizers, and the N40 and N46 the lighter cross-linked and linear grades. The 32677 is the 1,000 step down on this base, 20 inches lower with a fitting already in; the 1830400N40 holds 1,300 gallons of cross-linked resin on a 72 inch base at 87 inches, and the 8120000C26 and 1710000C26 lay 1,100 gallons down under 55 inches on an 86 inch base.

Access and outlet

• Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, 109 inches up; filled by hose, tote pump or truck through a dip tube, vented outside on anything that fumes.
• Outlet: tell us the liquid when ordering and the bulkhead fitting is matched to it; flex between the bulkhead and hard pipe, and a valve braced off the pad so the fitting carries no pipe weight.
• Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.

The white wall shows the level in daylight; a low-level float switch keeps a pump from running dry. Mount the pump below the outlet so it primes by gravity, keep the manway closed against vapor loss, and keep the tank out of direct sun where the liquid is light-sensitive. Where it freezes, insulate or drain the outlet valve and the first length of pipe; the body takes ice from the top down without harm.
