Fittings and access

Choose the level sender for the chemical and read it at ground level so nobody climbs for a number; vapor stays in a closed manway, and a chemical that does not like sunlight stands in shade. A single wall tank of a regulated liquid lives inside a berm that holds the whole tank. If winters freeze, wrap or drain the outlet valve and the first pipe run.

The first delivery

The driver's pump can deliver faster than the manway vent can breathe, so the vent is sized for the unload rate or the fill goes through a dedicated top bulkhead with its own vent line. Run the fill pipe to the floor; caustic and coagulant foam when they fall through air. A dense chemical gives off heat when it meets water, so a batch is made water first and chemical second, never the reverse. Nobody walks away during the first fill: the slab edge and the outlet fitting are checked as the level climbs, and every delivery after that goes in the log with a date and a strength.
